oneworld member airlines work together to deliver consistently a superior, seamless travel experience, with special privileges and rewards for frequent flyers, including earning and redeeming miles and points across the entire alliance network.  Top tier cardholders (Emerald and Sapphire) enjoy access to more than 650 airport lounges and are offered extra baggage allowances. The most regular travellers (Emerald) can also use fast track security lanes at select airports.


 

 

 

Alaska Airlines and its regional partners serve more than 120 destinations across the United States to Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, and Belize. The airline emphasizes Next-Level Care for its guests, along with providing low fares, award-winning customer service and sustainability efforts.

 

American Airlines is a founding member of oneworld. Along with its affiliates, American Airlines operates from major hubs across the USA, including Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington DC, to more than 330 destinations in 60 countries. 

 

British Airways

British Airways is one of the world’s most recognised airlines and a founding member of the oneworld Alliance. The airline and its affiliates service more than 195 destinations in nearly 80 countries throughout Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Africa and Australia, with its main hub London Heathrow

 

 

Established in 1946, Cathay Pacific is Hong Kong’s flagship carrier and a founding member of the oneworld Alliance. The airline serves some 119 destinations in more than 30 countries across Asia, the Pacific, Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.

 

Established in 1923, Finnair is Finland’s flagship carrier. It joined the oneworld Alliance in 1999. The airline flies to more than 80 destinations in around 30 countries, including an increasing number of long-haul international flights to and from Asia, with its Helsinki hub ideally placed as a gateway between the Far East and Europe.

 

IBERIA

Iberia is Spain’s flagship airline and the leading carrier between Europe and Latin America. It joined oneworld in 1999. From its Madid hub, it flies to more than 130 destinations in around 43 countries across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas.

 


Established in 1951, Japan Airlines is one of the world’s premier carriers. It joined the oneworld Alliance in 2007. The airline has major hubs at Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Okinawa, and operates almost 900 daily flights to more than 90 destinations across 20 countries

 

Malaysia Airlines

Malaysia Airlines, which joined oneworld in 2013, is one of the few airlines worldwide rated five-star by Skytrax, which has also honoured the airline for having the World’s Best Cabin Staff. With its main operating hub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Airlines flies to more than 50 destinations across Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and North America.

 

Qantas Airlines

Qantas is one of the world’s most recognised airlines and a founding member of the oneworld Alliance. It serves more than 80 destinations in nearly 20 countries. As the only Australian airline in any global airline alliance, it offers an extensive domestic network besides serving points in Asia, the South Pacific, Europe, North and South America and Africa. 

 

 

Royal Jordanian is the national carrier of the Kingdom of Jordan and joined the oneworld Alliance in 2007. It serves some 45 destinations in nearly 30 countries throughout the Middle East, where it offers one of the most extensive networks of any airline to Europe, Asia, Africa and North America.

 

Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways is one of the world's fastest growing and highlyrated airlines, with one of the world's most modern fleets, serving 156 destinations in 80 territories around the world. A oneworld member since 2013, Qatar Airways is one of the most frequent recipients of Airline of the Year awards, and has maintained a Skytrax five-star ranking since 2004

 

Srilankan Airlines

SriLankan Airlines is the national airline of Sri Lanka. The airline currently operated to 119 destinations in 60 countries. SriLankan Airlines joined oneworld in May 2014.

 

 

Royal Air Maroc is the national carrier of Morocco and the leading airline in Africa since its creation in 1957. They connect their base in Casablanca with 80 destinations in 41 countries over six regions (Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America and South America). Royal Air Maroc joined oneworld in April 2020.

 

Fiji Airways is the flag carrier of Fiji and the South Pacific. It serves 21 destinations in 13 states and territories, including oneworld hubs Sydney, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Tokyo. Fiji Airways was the first oneworld connect partner. 

 

          

future member, Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, began its operations in 1993. Today, it is recognized as a major international carrier, connecting cities around the world to Oman’s spectacular natural beauty, captivating charm and genuine openness. Oman Air was invited to join oneworld in June 2022.

 



The first oneworld connect partner, Fiji Airways, joined in 2018.


Its oneworld sponsors are British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, and soon American Airlines.
 

Fiji Airways is the flag carrier of Fiji and the South Pacific. It serves 23 destinations in 13 states and territories, including oneworld hubs Sydney, Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Tokyo.

oneworld connect partners will provide select alliance benefits to frequent flyers from any oneworld member airline travelling on their flights, with a more extensive range of benefits offered with their oneworld sponsors.

Customers with oneworld’s Emerald, Sapphire or Ruby status (which are equal to Royal Jordanian’s Royal Plus Platinum HAWK, Gold SPARROW and Silver JAY respectively) in any oneworld member airline’s frequent flyer program will be able to use priority check-in desks, where available.  Also, customers with Emerald or Sapphire status (Platinum HAWK and Gold SPARROW) will be offered priority boarding.

Fiji Airways has made its network available for Round The World flights via Global Explorer, a distance-based fare that can be booked on oneworld.com that allows customers to visit multiple countries, all on a single itinerary. 

All oneworld connect partners will be required to maintain IATA IOSA safety certification.

oneworld’s regular range of services and benefits remain in place for customers flying with the alliance’s full member airlines and their affiliates.

As a oneworld traveller, satisfaction awaits you around the globe. Your Royal Club status is recognised across all member airlines. And you are entitled to a range of benefits, which are provided according to the following oneworld tier levels, no matter which cabin class you are flying in:

 

*Access to preferred or pre-reserved seating is in accordance with the individual policy of the oneworld member airline operating the flight. First and business class check-in desks and lounges are not available at all airports. Lounge access for Emerald and Sapphire tier members only. Fast track at security lanes and extra baggage allowance for Emerald members only. Fast track is not available at all airports.oneworld benefits are available only to passengers on scheduled flights that are both marketed and operated by a oneworld member airline (marketed means that there must be a oneworld member airline’s flight number on your ticket). Providing more than 600 lounges across the globe.

 

Extra Baggage Allowance

*As an Emerald frequent flyer you can check in one additional bag for free in addition to your ticketed baggage allowance when you fly on oneworld airlines. If your ticket mentions a weight allowance, you can check in an extra 20kgs (44lbs). (This benefit is not available on British Airways 'Hand Baggage Only' fares on select short-haul routes.)

*As a Sapphire frequent flyer the following special baggage privileges will apply when you fly on oneworld airlines.

On international or domestic itineraries using the baggage allowance "weight" system - 15 kgs in addition to the ticketed Economy baggage allowance.

On international or domestic itineraries using the baggage allowance "piece" system - one additional bag*, weighing up to 23 kgs, up to a maximum of two pieces.

On purely domestic itineraries, using the baggage allowance "piece" system, with no ticketed baggage entitlement - the assurance of at least one piece of checked baggage, weighing up to 23 kgs.

Customers travelling in First and Business Class cabins will in most cases receive an even greater free checked baggage allowance.

This benefit is not available on British Airways 'Hand Baggage Only' fares on select short-haul routes.

For domestic routes operated by LAN Airlines, Sapphire cardholders may check in up to two bags with a combined weight not exceeding 23 kgs.

 

Relax in more premium lounges around the world

If you are a Royal Jordanian Platinum Hawk or Gold Sparrow member (equivalent to the oneworld Emerald or Sapphire tiers), or you are traveling in a First or Business Class cabin on any oneworld member airline, you can access more than 600 airport lounges throughout the world. (Find out which lounges are available at airports around the world at oneworld.com),  This means you can relax or catch up with work in comfort and style before departure.

  • To be eligible, you must be departing on a flight that is both marketed and operated by a oneworld member airline.
  • Some lounges may get busy at peak times, and access to them may be restricted as a result.
  • A non-affiliated third party may operate some lounges on behalf of the individual airline. Access to some lounges operated by third-parties on behalf of oneworld member airlines may be restricted at some times.
  • Arrivals lounges are excluded.
  • Spa and Pre-Flight Dining facilities are excluded.
  • British Airways Concorde lounges are excluded.

 

oneworld lounge access for frequent flyers by tier status.

Enjoy exclusive access to premium airport lounges around the world with Royal Club Platinum and Gold status. Members of oneworld airline frequent flyer programmes with the equivalent of oneworld Emerald or Sapphire tier status can use any lounge offered by any oneworld airline when departing on any flight marketed and operated by any oneworld member airline, regardless of cabin class being flown.

  • Platinum Plus (oneworld Emerald) tier members can use First Class, Business Class or frequent flyer lounges.
  • Gold Plus (oneworld Sapphire) tier members are welcome in Business Class* or frequent flyer lounges. *Does not include Qantas Domestic Business Lounges
  • Emerald and Sapphire members may invite one guest to join them in the lounge. The guest must also be travelling on a flight operated and marketed by a oneworld carrier.
  • You must be prepared to show your boarding pass and frequent flyer membership card, with oneworld Emerald or Sapphire tier status, to access a lounge. 

 

The following exceptions apply:

  1. American Airlines and Qantas offer programmes enabling customers to pay to gain access to their lounges. These programmes are not part of the oneworld agreement, and members of these programmes are not entitled to access lounges under the oneworld agreement.
  2. American Airlines AAdvantage® members, regardless of their tier status or class of travel, cannot access American Airlines lounges when travelling solely on North American flights within or between the U.S., Canada, Mexico (except Mexico City), the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Caribbean.   3. Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold members, regardless of their oneworld tier status, cannot access Qantas Domestic Business Lounges.

 

oneworld lounge access for First Class or Business Class customers

Indulge yourself before departure in a wider range of airport lounges when you fly First Class or Business Class with any oneworld member airline.

  • Customers flying First or Business Class have access to the equivalent class of lounge regardless of their frequent flyer status. First Class passengers may use a Business Class or frequent flyer lounge if a First Class lounge is not available.
  • First Class passengers may invite one guest to join them in the lounge. The guest must also be travelling on a flight operated and marketed by a oneworld airline.

Connecting between oneworld marketed and operated flights:

  • First and Business Class customers connecting on the same day of travel, or before 6am the following day, can access the lounge when travelling between an international long haul* and an international short haul or domestic flight (and vice-versa). (* a oneworld international long haul flight is defined as an international flight marketed and operated by any oneworld carrier with a scheduled flight time longer than 5 hours)
  • Lounge access will be determined on the international long haul ticketed flight (either First of Business Class) regardless of the ticketed class of travel on the international short haul or domestic flight.
  • You must be prepared to show your boarding pass or itinerary showing travel in First or Business class on the international long haul flight, in order to access the lounge before your international short haul or domestic flight.

 

The following exception applies:

  • First and Business Class customers who do not hold Emerald or Sapphire tier status are not eligible to access American Airlines lounges when travelling on solely domestic flights within the U.S. or between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico [except Mexico City], the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Caribbean) other than the exception listed below:
    • Customers travelling in First or Business class on U.S. transcontinental flights between JFK-LAX, JFK-SFO and MIA-LAX (and vice-versa) are eligible for lounge access.

 

Fast track through security

We know your time is precious and you would prefer to relax in one of the over 600 oneworld lounges rather than wait in line at airport security. That is why, at select airports worldwide, oneworld Emerald frequent flyers (including members) can access the ‘Fast Track’ or ‘Priority Lanes' at security check points no matter which cabin they are traveling in. See below for details and the list of airports where this privilege is available:

Due to restrictions or local agreements with Security Fast Track facility operators, not all oneworld carriers are currently able to extend this benefit to all Emerald tier customers.

oneworld Global Support is currently available in Hong Kong, London Heathrow, Madrid-Barajas, New York JFK, Miami, Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare, Los Angeles, Sydney, and Tokyo Narita.
