Royal Jordanian Airlines Launches New Routes between Amman and Stockholm

Amman, March 28, 2018 –Royal Jordanian will start to market Qatar Airways route to Dhaka International Airport (DAC) as of April 1, 2018. The route will be sold in connection with RJ’s Amman-Doha sector.
Royal Jordanian’s codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways took effect on August 6, 2015; since then, RJ has been giving its customers access to various global points including Muscat, Colombo, Karachi, Singapore, Perth and now Dhaka.
RJ President/CEO Stefan Pichler said: “Our code share agreement with Qatar Airways is opening up a larger number of weekly flights between Doha and Amman, in addition to numerous new connections beyond Hamad International Airport. We invite our guests to make use of these convenient connections and travel to many points they desire. We always work on enhancing our route network by partnering with other airlines through codeshare agreements to offer our passengers the best travel options they could possibly find.”
RJ operates nine weekly flights to Doha’s Hamad International Airport.
RJ has 15 codeshare agreements with global airlines, including with oneworld carriers and with other international airlines. Besides Qatar Airways, codeshare agreements are signed with: American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia, Siberia Airlines S7, Malaysia Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Oman Air, Middle East Airlines, Alitalia, Tarom, Gulf Air, Sri Lankan Airlines, Syrian Air and Meridiana Fly Airlines.

Amman, 8 January 2023: Royal Jordanian was ranked as the Middle East and Africa’s (MEA) second most on-time airline for the year 2022 - according to Cirium, the global aviation analytics leader. The On-Time Performance Review was prepared at the start of the current year, assessing the performance of all airlines across the MEA region.

Amman, Nov. 6, 2022: Royal Jordanian signed an agreement with IATA to join a large number of airlines that are now using the IATA Environmental Assessment Program (IEnvA). This sustainability program will be a key tool for RJ to achieve sustainability in all air and ground operations. Globally, (IEnvA) is used by airlines, aircraft maintenance services, on-board catering services and ground handlers to enhance environmental sustainability.
