Cow Rock

Surrounded by Great White Desert Views

The rock surrounding area boasts picturesque scenery, and the vistas of the landscape rival the geological wonder of the formation itself. For most visitors exploring the White Desert, the journey between these sites is just as enriching as the attractions themselves.

The formation known as Cow Rock is observed from the eastern perspective, yet Australian visitors often liken it more to a wombat or koala due to its broad sides. Interestingly, when viewed from the west, it bears a striking resemblance to a chicken, leading many Bedouins in the region to dub it Chicken Rock, a name fitting for its two-legged stance. From the north, the silhouette of a Pharaoh’s head can be discerned.
